Under the wings

The civic association Under the wings was founded in Valasske Mezirici in June 2000. From the outset the main aim was to help young people who grew up in children’s homes, educational institutions, in foster care in socially disadvantaged families, who in their adult life go into a separate life. The main objectives therefore included the provision of accommodation, assistance in solving problems, but also a friendly setting.

The first Halfway house was opened in 2002. The Halfway house is located in Valasske Mezirici. Currently The civic association Under the wings provides 7 houses. The capacity of these houses is 43 flats. The Halfway houses are not situated only in Valasske Mezirici, but also one is in Vsetin and two Halfway houses are in the regional capital city Zlin.

Since 2004 The civic association Under the wings extended its activity also on the operation of Civic center. Civic center service is provided to all citizens.
